GUESS WHAT?!?!?!  WINDOWS 7!?!?!?!?!?

windows7

DUAL DISPLAY!?!?!?!?!?!?

windows7pt2

It runs faster and smoother than Windows Vista.  The only thing with it is that the interface is quite different than Vista and other previous versions of Windows and takes some time to get use to, it runs using less resources than Vista (which is a big bonus no matter what type of computer you have).  A lot of software is supported on it, and it has an amazing amount of drivers so you don’t really need to worry about those (well some people do), I’m running it on a Dell, intel i7, with a lot of other stuff x.x, and like the printers and everything else didn’t need any additional software (except the blu ray stuff needed software…), The start menu is the same as Vista, but it doesn’t have the internet and mail locked to the start menu (you can “pin” it to the start menu, or to the task bar [which I find much nicer”]), some of the programs are way odder on 7 than the other versions, because the way the task bar and everything else on the bar are is kinda like a mix of mac with windows, but is easy to get use to.  It also detected the monitors I have (more information than I actually know about them lol), but it didn’t have the drivers for my cell phone D=, which easily installed without problems.  I had to download Norton, because the CD would not install, but I was able to download the same version online, use the same account so I didn’t have to pay extra to get it to work with windows 7.  The only thing that I still have problems with is IE 8 x.x, which I had problems on Vista with (but it’s a different problem… x.x).  I don’t know if it is because I’m on 64bit, or because windows 7 is made to integrate better with all the windows software (the hover-overs and all that other stuff works best with the windows downloadables).  I couldn’t upgrade from Vista though because I was going from Vista Home Premium to 7 Professional x.x.  But apparently a clean install is suppose to run faster and smoother than an upgrade anyways.  OH!  And iTunes kinda sucks in my opinion, because the keyboard shortcuts only work if it is focused, while media player you can use while minimized, but if media player is playing it won’t switch to screen saver which means it can burn your monitor D=?!?!).  And yes…  That does say 8 cores o.o;;.  Just like find out if the stuff you need will install on windows 7, cause a lot of paid software is Vista down x.x, but might have a downloadable version for 7.  Most free stuff works though, just have to get use to it on the new stuff though x.x.  Sooo I like it better than Vista, and!  It has all the smexy features from Vista!  Just don’t expect your computer to have a high 7 experience rating like it did on Vista *tear*.  Ok >.< I have to run to class!  I hear snow leopard is freaking amazing too btw, I haven’t tried it yet, but!  I hear it’s amazing enough to upgrade to though.
