Rants about the nothingness called life…

December 24th, 2009

Hm…  So because of the case that no one reads these, it makes me feel better in more ways than just getting stuff off my chest, but the fact that also, I shall feel I made some point with making no point whatsoever making myself feel mildly accomplished some magical mystical way.  I don’t really know where to start, and I honestly don’t think I’ll be at all accurate about anything, because… well… this is a rant, it’s not suppose to be anything that some ugly yelling and screaming about things I don’t like and things I think and feel, which, no one cares about other than me, and it only bugs me, therefore is enough reason to get it out, because, I am just so amazing that I don’t care what other people think about my thoughts anymore since, no one cares anyways.  So…  I’ll just go with whatever I feel like and will continue under that notion (I guess that’s how to put it).

FIRST!  Voting.  I don’t really know what the whole deal is with voting, which apparently makes me evil.  So…  you vote for who you wants to represent you in congress, and president, and governors, and such.  But, really you don’t vote for the president, your electors do, who we apparently vote for o.o;;.  But!  Then they technically vote however they feel like and glance over at the little peoples votes as suggestions, just like how most drivers view the speed limit as a suggestion (and other traffic signals).  Now…  Why can we vote on the president as a suggestion, but it doesn’t actually count?  Hm…  I know usually the electoral college votes the way the people do, but like…  Are they really needed?  Honestly, I don’t know, just asking, but then, asking questions is what makes people evil right?  Oops, I asked another.  I once saw the news people interview an elector, and he said he honestly doesn’t care how the people vote and votes the way he believes is best (in the words of that one famous guy “Democracy doesn’t work because people are too stupid to know what’s best for them,” which I honestly see as true yet sad and not really… well nice.  Then again it was worded much more nicely when he said it…  I forget who he was though, I just know I like the quote.).  So what if other electors feel this way?  Are they able to contact each other?  Are they bribed by presidents who run?  Like why is it we laugh at the “all people are created equal, some more equal than others” thing when we raise people above us to make decisions and take what we say as a “suggestion.”  Also, they did this thing on some talk show thinger where they asked people who they voted for, presented that person, and asked them if it was because of the promises the person was making, but when they presented the promises they gave the promises of the other runner, and the people fought against the person they voted for pretty much.  Which also shows that even though I’m evil for not voting because I believe I don’t know enough to vote, that people who are voting, just vote because they feel like it (well the talk show was actually trying to raise awareness of the increase in the black community increased voting rates when Obama ran for president, and that most people voted based off appearance (which also was like a research thing done by psychologist to see if “the one that looked more appealing” would get more votes between Bush and Kerry (Don’t get me on spelling I don’t care x.x))).  But then also more stuff, other than that, we vote for congress men and women to represent us and stuff, but then why is it like “Well he’s a senator, his father was a senator, his father’s father…” like down the line?  And why are so many of the senators you hear about rich?  Like this guy owns one of the biggest orange farms, or this guy own the majority of dairy farms, or something.  How in the world is a rich guy gonna know how to represent me, when he isn’t even in my position?  The way that our country works is the rich get richer and the poor get poorer unless some miracle thing happens that some guy is either super smart or super stupid and it ends up being great that he makes millions and hits richman road or something.  Why does a millionaire need millions?  He doesn’t.  Money you have, is like the speed limit (lol), it’s recommended you don’t spend what you don’t have ya know?  But, people do it anyways, and then we have all that foreclosure stuff, people losing everything, declaring bankruptcy, having bad credit, and all that other stuff.  Now, it doesn’t seem like that bad of a thing, cause the banks are still there and all, but then!  It happens to so many people at once, people gamble money, and ZOMG!  Economic crisis (it’s more complicated than that), but yeah something something like that, and we all blame the banks, and everyone else, but like, why didn’t people be more frugal, banks should have been like “Maybe we should lend money to this guy who wants to buy a mansion while working at the golden arches part time” and people should be like “Well maybe, I can’t afford this and should just save money” (BTW!  So many people complain about scams like “buy a new computer at $30 a week for 12 months and get better credit!” and it’s a crappy $50 dollar computer and they complain…  how about the saying, “if it’s too good to be true, it probably isn’t true!”  There’s no get rich quick scheme and stuff (well maybe there is…), and like, maybe…  maybe…  if you just google it, you would have noticed something (and googling stuff solves so many problems instantly!  SO GOOGLE IT NOOB gah…)) like, yeah, and maybe people building houses should stop and think that there aren’t that many people to buy houses…  Other than that, rich people, don’t need all that money, poor people don’t need 50” plasma screens, and if everyone tried staying legit (specially you business owners with your schemes of get rich quick) AND STOPPED GAMBLING (bigger the risk the greater the profit my asmar), maybe, just maybe, we wouldn’t have all these problems.  (Hm… another point about the economy, Marx said this would happen lol, that capitalism leads to overproduction and that leads to recession and to get out of recession we either bubble up another industry or something else that seemed violent…  I forget…  But also he brought up the fact that workers produce too much, that we overpopulate, and some other stuff, I think machines taking our jobs and stuff like that and the rich man stays at the top, and the poor guys get pushed farther down).  BUT BACK TO SENators or whatever, congress people, I think that there should be like a “THIS DUDE MUST BE AVERAGE” or something, sure he might not be as well educated, or from a good named family, but dude, he’s your every day average joe.  He’s going through the same stuff as everyone else, when recession hits, HE’S ACTUALLY HURT BY IT x.x, does the rich guy get hurt?  Maybe a scrape on the shin, but like a guy in the shoes of everyone else, facing problems we’re all facing, wouldn’t he be the best to represent us?  Maybe it’s just the news or something and there’s a crap ton of average joes in congress but it just doesn’t sound like it, but like, if all these “well educated folk” who apparently have all the hindsight in the world but no ESP to predict what’s gonna happen, maybe we need some people who are more “I don’t have all the answers, but hell I’ll give it my best shot,” cause we you’re on the verge of losing everything, and the guy who’s trying his best to get you out of the situation will lose everything at the same time as you, doesn’t he seem like he’s trying more?  (and maybe, there should be some advance vote or something lol, like when you vote for a president, it’s your average joe, but then!  if they win they go through all the economics and whatevers courses for stuff they need to know as president ya know?).  And no I’m not a communist x.x, I just took a history course and an economics course which I seem to not recall much about do to winter break…  “I was elected to lead, not to read”

SECOND!  Gay marriage.  I honestly use to think that allowing homosexuals the right to marry was some incredibly horrible thing.  Then for some reason I got mistaken for a gay guy multiple times (cause apparently I dress nicely o.O), and was chased in parking lots, confronted by random people o.O, and had very mean things said to be about how horrible of a person I was for being gay, o.O which I was confused about because I though being a gay guy meant that you were a man attracted to other men, apparently, being gay means you’re clean and like to look nice o.o.  BUT!  That’s not the main thing that changed my view point.  I honestly still think that homosexuality is wrong, and that it shouldn’t be promoted (heck I don’t think anything should be promoted, it’s why I don’t play checkers (jk jk lol, probably no one gets that =[ )).  But I know a few people who are gay/bi/lesbian, and there some of the nicest people I’ve ever met and talked to, and they don’t judge me for my beliefs, and they do all they can to respect them.  Which brings me to the main reason.  In Christian beliefs, God created man with free will (or so I was told).  God gave man the ability to choose to follow him, or choose not to.  And also, isn’t it God’s place to judge people x.x?  Maybe people are afraid of Sodom and Gomorrah happening again or something x.X, but then!  If you’re Christian, death is freedom isn’t it (don’t go start drinking the funny kool aid)?  Also, in the bible, most of the time when homosexuality is brought up as a sin, isn’t sex out of marriage brought up too?  Yet, the church doesn’t seem to frown upon this as much.  Oh but it’s ok if they’re old (ew…)…  Not really…  “Well Adam and Eve weren’t married” dude…  does the stress on Eve being his wife not mean anything?  It wasn’t “And Adam became one with his booty call” or like “And Adam and his girlfriend became one” or “And Adam became one with his friend with benefits” NO! Adam and his wife gosh.  Most of the time when there’s a bible verse about homosexuality being a sin, around the same part there’s a part about “no sex out of marriage.”  But it’s become more acceptable by the church, as have many things the bible has said is bad.  Don’t charge interest.  Did you know that the Muslims are the only banks that don’t charge interest, and that a lot of people slap “Christian” labels on themselves in order to rip off people, “Christian” is seen as a “trust me” label a lot of times, so much so that… I honestly trust people more who don’t claim to be anything over someone who claims to be “Christian,” and it’s really weird cause I’m Christian O.O;;.  I think it’s mainly because of so many “Christians” chasing people away from God and stuff, or maybe being lied to by so many “Christian Scholars” (Mr. Hovind and Mr. Wyatt oops, I mean Dr.  Wait…  I don’t think those were real Ph Ds  my bad), or meeting “Christians” that use and extort everyone around them, maybe, just maybe, stuff like that gives Christian a negative feeling to it (and maybe visiting a church where the pastor said you should beat your children frequently so they never have the urge to do something bad…).  But I feel that people who don’t claim to be “Christian” come off as more honest than those that do.  But then again if someone tries cheating you out of your money, well, he’s just a jerk, but when someone who claims to be “Christian” tries it… well you better watch out for those “Christians.”  So…  who knows, maybe it’s just so many negative things done in the name of Christianity.  Also, why is it if you ask the wrong questions at church, you’re labeled as evil?  or like… someone trying to reek havoc among the church?  When all you were doing was asking a question.  I have atheist friends that are more tolerant of my questions and will actually help me do some searching to find out about them.  But in the Christian community I throw up a red flag?  Also x.X, why is it some questions you’ll never get a straight forward answer from people, or you get an answer far from your question?  I guess that’s not just a Christian thing, but I don’t believe in predestination and I can’t really accept it x.x, yet so many people tell me that’s how it is o.o, which honestly, I find this whole thing of existence pointless then.  If everything is already predetermined, everything you do, everything that happens and such.  Sure, you had the free will, but it was already known, I can take that.  But then there’s no point…  No point in this middle part called life.  Just end it, send the people to hell who would have gone anyways, and the people to heaven that would go to heaven.  First off, it would be the same thing.  Second off, it would be much nicer than actually letting me know people who no matter what I do would be condemned to hell and actually caring.  But yeah, I don’t like getting evil looks, just because I asked something I didn’t understand, and I don’t like being sushed or evil glared at just because I wanted to extend my knowledge in a shared belief, and I’m sorry I feel more comfortable in a room with peers than one on one with people who look at me as prey, in all honesty, why do older people do that?  They come at you, take you aside, and act like they’re trying to help you or what not, but the looks on their faces, they’re looking at you like that they could just try owning your mind right then and there.  And you all probably know what I’m talking about, that sinister smile they give you with that look in their eyes that your optimistic view of the world, just needs to be crushed (then again, a lot of people my age do that too x.x lol, but I can take them on better =P ).

Next!  Occults and other beliefs!  So…  A common asked question is the “If people don’t hear about Jesus and such, do they go to hell?”  And there’s a bunch of answers and all out there, and one I was told was the “God of the thumb” that like some guy knew that there was just too much going on and too much stuff that matched up (like gripping a banana) that there had to be a greater being that he called the God of his thumb or something like that o.O, and that he did his best to honor that god and such and it was his way of explaining God.  Which brings me to my other question.  If people don’t know about God and Jesus, and they try their best to honor their best interpretation of God, would they still go to hell?  Probably a lot of people would say no, but then, what if their belief carried on even when they heard about God and Jesus?  Would they now go to hell?  Yes?  No?  Hm…  How can you expect someone who’s family has followed their interpretation of God forever, who deeply respect and honor God to change their belief so easily?  One thing that struck me is in the bible, some of the references to God highly resemble ways that the Greek and Roman refer to Zeus.  Now maybe that’s not an up to date comparison for my question, but they had multiple gods to explain what I take is their view of seeing God, even though it may have been off, and they did there best to honor them.  Are they all in heaven or hell?  They also have a lot of stories that relate to biblical stories like the great flood and stuff.  Like, I know occults are bad and are easier to identify as more modern stuff that just seem odd…  I’m not saying all people who believe in a higher being are following the same God, just that…  If Christianity is right, but “Christians” or other reasons have chased people away from it, but those people believe and respect a higher authority to the best of their ability, is it fair to say they’re all going to hell, when it’s not their faults? x.x.  x.x;;  For some reason I feel evil glares staring at me and I haven’t even finished typing all this yet lol…  Someone’s going to bring up Muslims with the whole same God different God fight complex thing x.x;;, I’m just bringing up my complex complaints and questions (or maybe very not complex who knows…).

THEN!  Living life… lol.  How do people know what they want to do?  I mean, during childhood and for some time after, you spend your time trying to meet the expectations of your parents and those around you.  And you aim for the goals set by your parents and keep it up with no real thought of self.  When you think you did well, well those setting the goals and the expectations ask you why you didn’t do better.  And then, it no longer is a good thing anymore, the thing that you thought was good.  It wasn’t good enough.  Then you aim higher.  And you keep doing this, and you try your best for years and years till you find out it’s never good enough.  Then sometime randomly, it’s good enough.  But after years of things not being good enough, you can’t accept that it’s good enough, and that you yourself, will never be good enough.  But then you’re just a pessimist.  But wasn’t that how it was when you were younger?  Like how can you be programmed as not good enough, and then be told that it’s good enough?  Living life the way you’re told to, then all of a sudden well, you should have been pulling the strings?  All life seems to be is some giant facade of trying to appear better than those around you, or to being saying the right things, or aiming on the path of the figures you wish to accept you.  So even when you should be making your own choices, you feel that your choices should go with whether or not the authoritative figures find them within their choices for you.  But then how are you really suppose to know what you want to do?  And then.  It’s actually your fault for going with how you were raised and now you’re a horrible person? x.x and if you speak up for what you want you’re a heartless uncaring person that’s completely selfish?  x.x Well what the heck…  Life sucks lol, what’s the point in living a life that’s not yours?  There is none is there?  And then!  Taking what a person says the wrong way is your fault, when they’re the one who raised you saying stuff that you interpret!?  How is that fair?  OH!  And if you’re not suicidal or declared mentally ill, you’re a jerk who’s totally selfish?  So either A, you try killing yourself, or B, you convince everyone you’re mentally ill to get tested for mental illness (which I think the main way of being declared mentally ill is like from birth or something, or from trying to kill yourself o.O, well that sounds ironic.), or C, you’re honestly just a selfish jerk.  Oh, but it gets better, not only is the way you interpret the things said embedded from things actually said to you, but it carries on to other people saying stuff to you!  So you’re a horrid person to everyone now x.x?  Well life’s just peachy lol…

FINALLY!  I don’t know x.x;; honestly there’s a lot more that I was going to rant on and question, but I feel much better having this stuff down.  I guess that means I should sleep.  And…  Probably expect to be in a lot of trouble till I vanish…  And if anyone does read this whole thing…  I’m honestly impressed.

Evil Underground Ninja Rogue Penguins!?!?!

October 29th, 2009

So… This doesn’t have anything to really do with documentation

but! Today, I tested google docs for like 10 seconds. It’s pretty cool from what I saw. Um… It’s pretty basic for what it is, word processor, presentations, spread sheets. It has features that are

needed for most all tasks… “Needed” not wanted/luxuries lol.

Hm… Some cool interesting stuff (I only really looked at word for 10 seconds, not much else…), the formula editor is a mix of

OpenOffice formula editor, and Microsoft Equation Editor (from 2007).

I don’t think many people actually get what I’m trying to say with that lol… Guess I need to put an example. For word to do like tan(theta) =sin(theta)/cos(theta) you’d type:

tan(\theta)=sin(\theta)/cos(\theta)

And as you type it’ll magically make it look cool in the equation editor (2007 only, in older versions you have to do the crappy equation editor with clicking buttons and clicking places to type and all that other stuff that makes tan=sin/cos take like 923412341234 hours to type…  In Open Office, in the formula editor you’d type:

tan(%theta) = sin(%theta) over cos(%theta)

Which is also easy and pretty cool, and turns out looking nice.  (It’s not as easy for some people because Microsoft equation editor still has the options of doing it the old fashion way with button clicking and clicking more and some more and yeah…  It’s a pain after a while clicking so much x.x, typing is way faster).  In google docs for inserting a formula, you’d type:

tan(\theta) = sin(\theta) \over cos(\theta)

There are some other major differences that make it more like the Microsoft editor over the Open Office other than just \ over %, like for vectors (the little line arrow thing over a letter and such) in OOo (OpenOffice.org) it’s vec {E}, while in Mee (Microsoft equation editor [sorry I’m getting lazy for typing it all out x.x]) it’s E \vec, and in google it’s \vec E (which is more like OOo, but then it’s like Mee but backwords).  To do subscripts (it’s like saying array index, or if doing math/science stuff it’s like I1 I2, etc) in OOo it’s like…  I sub 1.  In Mee it’s I_1, and in google it’s also I_1.  I guess that not many people actually care about equation editors and such, but when you have to type out a lot of math formula, derivatives, and like writing up lab reports, it’s really nice to have formulas actually be easy to read, and also to be able to do them quickly.  Oh, some other side notes, google docs will have your document saved on the server, if you download it to your computer though, all the special stuff (like the equations) will be turned into images computer side.  This means you’ll only be able to edit those equations on the google version.

Google docs faults (in my opinion):

  • Deleting documents is way too easy.  With a sensitive touch pad you might accidently hit delete when trying to mouse over to something else.  This would be ok, if google asked “Are you sure!?”  Then again… there is a trash can x.x (just noticed lol).
  • Second: (if the image doesn’t show sorry =x )
googledocsThere is no ‘Stay on this Page’ or ‘Leave this page’ button…  I know it’s not a big issue, but just like the text doesn’t match up x.x, and then to make it worse, the description for Ok doesn’t match ‘Leave this Page’ it’s ‘continue’, it’s not a big thing, I just am OCD I guess…  (Apparently on windows these buttons actually say the right thing.  It might be a mac/just safari thing…)
  • Going back to the Leaving this page thing, when you try to close without saving it’ll alert you, but!  If you hit refresh, you can lose everything you typed with no warning, I know for some people this isn’t really an issue, but for people with horrible habits of just hitting refresh whenever you feel that the internet is too slow (I don’t know why…  but I do…) this can be an issue.  Also when you’re in a browser and have different buttons by your refresh button, you might accidently click refresh instead of “Open a new tab” or something.  Browsers need a defense against refresh…  Most have a “Oh wait you were typing something in the box before you hit close!” but none have “Oh wait you were writing your 12039482109348021934123 page term paper before you hit refresh!”  As you can see this could be very destructive towards your future, and if you’re anything like a sane person that feels anger, this could shorten your computer lifespan by years!  (ok… technically if we go by when it’s obsolete and such only like… 2.5 years if you had something really nice, otherwise you bought something already out dated)

Microsoft seems to be trying to introduce a lot of features like google, but seems a little stingy about it lol.  Microsoft has an workspace live or something like that which is suppose to be a way to store notes, and share documents online (which google also provides), but microsoft requires you to already to have Office on your desktop, unless you only do notes, but notes cannot be saved to your computer, only on the workspace.  Also, the workspace one doesn’t provide you with any real features of office software (currently to my knowledge), and is only really just a workspace for collaborating (which honestly is it’s purpose, it’s not meant to be used to edit documents really so I guess this is an unfair complaint).  There’s apparently an open office online thing but I can’t seem to register for it so I don’t have any notes on it, it looks like they’re virtualizing just a linux desktop with open office on it though, it could be that they’re actually using java and having it straight through the browser (which I think would work, cause we’ve made notepad in a browser for fun, it would just be more complex and all), some people commented on some stuff I read that it outdoes google docs (which, I honestly don’t really see how, cause google docs hits all the basic stuff for documents and well maybe cause Open Office isn’t just word, presentations, and spread sheets, but I guess I’d have to check it out, I’m looking at it from just a get papers done stand point, also if it really is open office there’s plug ins and macros and all that other stuff I don’t really care to use x.x;;[no offense to those that do use those things, they can make life way easier and do a lot of cool stuff, I just never found the time to actually look into it]).  But I do have to say, google docs is worth checking out, if it works for you needs, that’s computer space saved up, a ton of money saved (unless you get open office then the money saved is equal [ok you can get really really technical on this but we’ll leave that alone for now x.x;;]), and you can save it in all your favorite formats!  So it’s really versatile, and like, you won’t have to worry about your computer crashing (cause it all will be on the google servers (and!  they back there stuff up[i think…]!)), the only downside is if you’re internet is down and all that other mumbo jumbo x.x (and if terrorist decided to take out google servers which I highly doubt they would, but it would screw over people everywhere (guess we’d all have to go to bing x.x… down with yahoo! [jk jk, I’ve just never been a fan of yahoo, I know a lot of people like it better though, and it does have great features and services, and actually when compared to google in most nerd magazines, yahoo actually gets higher rated for email] OMG >.< I just checked out yahoo and freaked cause the bar at the top said “Welcome to your new homepage and favorite sites on something something something” I was about to be really mad if yahoo decided to change my browser settings >.> [and yes children, back in the day websites did that, that was during the time of “Dial Up” where checking your email took about a year, and things like youtube could not exist.  But now a days I think that would be considered hacking, and most browsers do checks to prevent those changes from happening (I could be way way wrong about that though, I do know it was huge issue back in the day because they could mess with more than just your browser back then)]).  !?  Facebook joined with yahoo!?  Lol, I didn’t know that…  Oh btw, Facebook wins vs Myspace, and windows live spaces (which windows live spaces would actually top both if people actually used it).  Some other things to note…

Google voice is win…  lol, Uh, but seriously, google is a thing to keep an eye on, a lot of their stuff has been out forever, and look for their beta stuff, cause it’s pretty amazing to test (other than the fact their ToS is scary as hell if you read it), like it’s kinda scary when you think about google, chrome is like the greatest web browser evah!  They have droid/android for for OS (which I have no idea what providers have but I want one).  They now have google voice (can you imagine if google gets their own service towers and stuff, free mobile phone calls!?  Like, I’d hack my phone the day it comes out to be on google xP [which children is a void of warrantee and possibly against ToS/Contract so don’t do it!]), but like, Googles taking over from my point of view, the only thing they’re really missing is a computer store and OS lol.  That’s it!?  Google can save the US economy (ok maybe not really)!  By having an OS that is free, and providing free services, they can then design phones and computer and have them made in the US so we wouldn’t have to import computers/phones from china and japan and stuff (and you might say “Well my computer was designed in america!”  Well you know what…  Check out that made in china sticker punk, thanks for screwing over our economy (ok not really your fault, but it kinda is)!  X in our GDP stands for Exports – Imports meaning that if Imports is greater than Exports it goes negative lowering our GDP, by companies designing computers in the states, then having it made in china (or some other place), it turns that American company into a non-American company (ok, it’s still american, but technically it’s now an import over an export) so what happens is more money flows out than in.  It’s like common sense ya know, if you spend more than you make you go negative, have the loan sharks chase you down, and get a nice new pair of concrete boots (which I hear are amazingly comfy), now like in capitalism, if a company is on the verge of death, other companies in the same industry are pressured into buying the dying company out and stuff, but then…  it doesn’t work like that for countries lol, I guess that’s a good thing lol, could you imagine instead of china loaning us money they just are like “I’m doing a buyout on your country, I will buy america for some trillion dollars!”  Could we say no?  Would it be an offer we can’t refuse?  Like banks buy each other out all the time when one is in the crapper (or they just point and laugh).  Lol, imagine Britain buying the US “HA!  And you thought you got away with that revolutionary war!”  I think it would be entertaining to see that lol, but then again it would also suck a crap ton cause what happens when you get bought out by someone who enforces crappy rule x.x.  That would be crazy though, like instead of wars people would be like throwing money down on a table auctioning off countries and stuff, start playing texas holdem “I raise you california, and half of texas!”  “I call your state and a half, and raise you the capital of our country!”  “I fold…” lol…  Sorry I’m sugar high =x (btw, if this could happen, that would mean that big companies could technically buy out countries and stuff, and like…  Wow…  Just wow lol…).  Back to the main point!  Google is the biggest threat/gift to the computer world as we know it!  Free phone stuff, free email, free office software, etc (google, this doesn’t mean change you ways, I love it all being free. please don’t change T.T) It just means like, google is moving amazingly fast, and amazingly hidden lol, (it’s like solid snake!).  If everyone thinks that microsoft is the evil empire of computers (which I don’t see how, except for that they put a dent in your wallet, buyout other companies in a capitalist like style and try to be ahead in the game), google would be the underground empire, but then maybe that’s only me thinking that way, specially cause of the sugar high…  Ok…  I think I should stop before I sound more crazy x.x;;…
